Actuate Corporation released the next generation of upgrades and support packages for the business intelligence and reporting modules of the IBM Maximo Asset Management
application. Capabilities added include interactive reports, ad hoc reporting and dashboards, and multiple data sources aimed at increasing its usability and reach to users. Also, the packages provide support for and migration to BIRT, the open source information application development environment.
Akorri introduced the latest version of its BalancePoint software, which utilizes predictive analysis to help IT organizations prevent outages and bottlenecks. New features in BalancePoint include: alerts for disk contention and stress; simultaneous support for vSphere and Microsoft Hyper-V; and expanded storage support for NetApp V-series, HP SVSP, and Hds Dynamic Provisioning.
Appian released the latest version of Appian BPM Suite. The updated business process management technology allows customers to integrate enterprise data and scale to handle extremely large process volumes and load, while adding an additional security layer to data storage integration and easier re-use and portability of process applications.
Autonomy Corporation unveiled its Autonomy Risk Management platform, meaning-based software for law firms. The end-to-end technology analyzes and acts on file format and language to find inter-relationships within data and related firm policies. Autonomy Risk Management is leveraged with Autonomy’s Intelligent Data Operating Layer (IDOL), already deployed in thousands of law firms.
BP Logix launched Process Director 2.0, business process management software designed to improve efficiency and better decision-making with historical and current data. With drop-and-drag flowchart capabilities for process builders, the new software helps users understand activities in their present state and provides access to alternative tactics to overcome problems ahead.
ConnectWise released the fourth update to its software, ConnectWise 2010, with API additions for business intelligence, beta version of browser independence and better ITIL compliance. The newest phase of its software offers enhancements to customer relationship management, sales and marketing, and an up tick in the amount of mass record updating options.
Lawson Software introduced Lawson Disaster Recovery, a cloud-based service designed to give its customers continuity within hours of a technology-related disaster. The new Lawson service seeks to help an organization with some of the most critical business procedures – payroll, finance, accounts, inventory and procurement – within 12 hours of a technological catastrophe.
Neptuny put out Caplan 3.3, its latest IT performance, optimization, capacity and virtualization solution program. New features are geared toward improvement of managing and planning of virtualized environments, and consolidation of new data sources, as well as enhancements to tagging, filtering and searching.
Pitney Bowes Business Insight launched its latest version of MapInfo Professional, software that allows organizations to capitalize on location-based data and insights on customers. With MapInfo Professional v10.5, organizations can streamline and access information and publish maps from cloud computing connections, in conjunction with MapInfo Stratus, the company’s first Software-as-a-Service product.
Teradata Corporation announced the availability of the Teradata OLAP Connector, planned to provide Microsoft Excel PivotTable users with direct access to real-time data. The Teradata OLAP Connector extends the depth of data analytics across a company in an effort to avoid stale information and auditing challenges.
Visual Numerics, a Rogue Wave Software Company, launched PV-Wave v.9.5, geared toward engineers, scientists and business analysts to build applications on a wider range of platforms. The software, with expanded OpenMP Parallelization Support, additionally promises better data mining and forecasting performance, particularly with trends and anomalies in data.
