i2 unveiled a new set of tools designed to revolutionize the way law enforcement, military and government organizations fight criminal and terrorist activity amid evolving and more sophisticated threats. This is the continuing actualization of i2’s Intelligence-Led Operations Platform, an integrated set of analysis, visualization and management applications built to identify hidden connections and patterns from disparate data sources. Innovative Routines International, Inc. released a cross-platform, data-centric protection utility for files. FieldShield protects personally identifying information (PII) in flat files down to the field level, according to business rules. FieldShield’s protections include: AES-256 and custom encryption (decryption), masking via anonymization or pseudonymization, de- and re-identification, and filtering and redaction.

Lawson Software announced that starting in May 2010 it will offer its core Lawson Enterprise Management Systems and Lawson Talent Management suite powered by the Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud infrastructure. The products will be included in the Lawson External Cloud Services offering, which is part of the company’s new Lawson Cloud Services portfolio.

Oracle announced a new release of its Oracle Enterprise Performance Management System Release 11.1.2. This release introduces three new performance management applications – Oracle Hyperion Disclosure Management, Oracle Hyperion Financial Close Management and Oracle Hyperion Public Sector Planning and Budgeting – as well as major enhancements to existing Hyperion performance management applications, and enhanced integrations with Oracle Applications. The company also announced Oracle Hyperion Public Sector Planning and Budgeting, a new module that extends the capabilities of the Oracle Hyperion Planning application.
