AppDynamics Inc. announced the release of AppDynamics 3.0, a cloud performance application. AppDynamics 3.0 is designed for highly distributed Java applications in the cloud, virtual and hybrid environments and includes automatic memory leak detection. New to the 3.0 version is “single-pane-of-glass” management for massive scalability and self-learning performance norms.
Birst Inc. produced the latest version of Birst 4 Autumn Release, its BI solution. New in Birst 4 Autumn Release are chat collaboration for added context and communications, multi-layer mapping of geographic locations, personalized dashboard creation and advanced user management.
CommVault launched the most advanced version of its Simpana 9 software. Simpana 9, an information governance platform, looks to simplify and consolidate data through central management, offer lifecycle data management, customize automated workflows for e-discovery and compliance, and classification and retention of records.
Compuware introduced its SaaS-based application performance management solution, Gomez First Mile. Seeking customer visibility from the data center to the end-user, Gomez First Mile uses outside-in monitoring to allow an organization to access the business impact of a problem and determine the location of the problem, in a model that aims for deployments within hours.
JMP released the latest version of its statistical discovery software, JMP Pro. Features of JMP Pro include: data mining techniques to build predictive models; geographic data visualization; Excel risk assessments; custom analytics applications; and product quality predictions with a new degradation platform.
Kaseya announced the launch of its family of cloud-based IT service deliver products, Kaseya IT Center. Aspects of Kaseya IT Center include: discovery and IT inventory; patch management; help desk; performance monitoring; IT automation procedures; management reporting; cloud deployment; and live connection from remote access.
MarkLogic announced the new version of MarkLogic 4.2, its database for storing, managing and analyzing unstructured data. MarkLogic 4.2 enables organizations to replicate documents across databases, “failover,” for taking over failed hardware within a cluster, and to immediately set a database state to reduce cost and downtime. In the new product, the company also launches the ETL tool Information Studio.
Queplix Corp. launched its Virtual Data Manager, which automates application and data integration. With Queplix Virtual Data Manager, users can integrate or scale multiple instances of a complex application like Siebel or SAP. In addition, it has software blades for connection to different target applications for identification and extraction of data and associated security information, which can then be harmonized.
SAS announced its new version of SAS IT Resource Management. SAS IT Resource Management features enhanced performance management and capacity planning for mainframes and other platforms, as well as a new business intelligence reporting environment. New to the product are adapters for VMware and Microsoft programs that support cloud infrastructures.
VMware announced the availability of VMware vFabric GemFire 6.5. The latest version enables developers to more rapidly build appilcations, extend data architecture to a broader set of applications, allows for faster data use and deployment through simultaneous transactions, and relies on in-memory data.
