Accellion announced updates to its Mobile File Sharing solution. New to the release are capabilities to add secure workspaces from mobile devices, support for Apple iOS 6 and Kerberos single sign-on, and the ability to whitelist specific applications.
Amplidata unveiled its AS36 storage module. The third generation version of this hardware, which leverages the Intel Xeon processor E3-1220LV2 and AmpliStor 3.0, features 12 high-density disks, 1.4PB of storage and 40 CPUs in in a 1U rack-mount node.
Aprimo released Digital Messaging Center, its cloud-based solution where cross0channel digital messaging can be managed. Features of this solution, which can integrate with web analytics tools, CRM platforms, e-commerce systems and in-house databases, include functional messaging templates, recipient management, tracking and reporting.
Birst announced Birst Big Data, its solution to turn unstructured data into analytic applications. The release automates the building of big data applications, allows any device or application (be it web, mobile, social, video or call center interaction data) to be analyzed and combines unstructured and structured data across multiple data sources.
Bloomberg added cloud capabilities to its eneterprise information management system, Bloomberg Vault. Dubbed Local Vault, the service includes a network of secure local data centers that allow for in-region or in-country archiving, granular policy management and data retention management.
Compuware Corporation announced Outage Analyzer, its performance analytics solution for SaaS applications, and Compuware APM for Mainframe, its deep transaction management solution. Outage Analyzer offers incident visualization, RSS and Twitter alerts, integration with analytics technologies, such as Flume and Hadoop, and anomaly detection algorithms. APM for Mainframe automatically discovers, maps and monitors transactions, optimizes transaction requests and provides one-click hotspot analysis.
CA Technologies released the latest version of its data modeling tool. CA Erwin r9 features a reconfigured model repository that centers on collaborations between business and IT over data assets and definitions. The new release also features more support for corporate security and industry standards, as well as an enhanced Web portal to access the model and metadata. (For more on this story, click here.)
Delphix released the third edition of its namesake database virtualization platform. The latest version offers support for Microsoft SQL Server and Oracle Real Application Clusters, can be integrated into existing management tools and can recover databases without restoring from backup or tapes.
Drobo unveiled several models of its data storage products which combine hard drives and SSDs. Drobo B1200i, offered from 12.6 TB to 27.6TB, can accommodate up to 250 users when used as primary storage or can be used as tier-two storage and backup for departments in larger organizations. Drobo B800i and B800fs, offered from 8TB to 24TB, can be used as primary or backup storage.
Hadapt released version 2.0 of its Adaptive Analytical Platform. Natively integrating SQL with Apache Hadoop, this solution allows analysts to conduct analytics on all their data, be it structured, unstructured or semi-structure, on one platform, utilizing BI tools like Tableau. This release also features an interactive application on Hadoop, via Hadapt Interactive Query.
HP launched its new analytics outsourcing services. HP Business Analytics Services utilizes the vendor’s business process outsourcing professionals to crunch customers’ structured and unstructured data. (For more on this release, click here.)
Iomega released Iomega StorCenter px4-300r Network Storage Array, Server Class, its rackmount array for SMBs and distributed enterprises. With up to 12TB of storage capacity, including a diskless option, this hardware offering provides cross-platform file sharing, simultaneous iSCSI block access, device-to-device data replication and certification for most virtualization environments.
QlikTech announced the availability of QlikView Governance Dashboard, a free product that provides QlikTech customers with visibility into their QlikView deployments. The product is indented to help users maximize data governance practices and optimize their investment by showing how QlikView is being used in order to create manageable and repeatable processes.
SAP announced its Business Planning and Consolidation 10.0 application on the SAP EPM Unwired mobile app. The release is the mobile entry point into the SAP EPM OnDemand solution, allowing users to plan budget, forecast and consolidate anywhere.
Software AG unveiled webMethods 9.0, its united cloud, social, mobile and big data offering. Integrated with Terracotta, this release enables local or distributed data caching, can process larger XML documents directly in-memory, allows customers to integrate SaaS applications with other on-premise or SaaS applications, as well as provision and control functionality to deployment options in hybrid cloud environments.
Teradata released its Teradata Unified Data Architecture. This release includes: Teradata Viewpoint (a Web-based interface for system management and monitoring), Teradata Data Warehouse Appliance 2700, an integrated appliance designed to optimize the Teradata Database, Intel processors, disk drives and storage subsystems; and Teradata Aster Big Analytics Appliance, an appliance that combines Teradata Aster and Hadoop servers in a single integrated cabinet.
