Active Business Network launched its SaaS-based suite for small-to-medium sized enterprises, ABN Xpress Suite Fall ’10. The platform uses ERP-compatible electronic data interchange for the transmission of a users’ information, vendor addition and support through Web forms, and real-time supply chain maintenance.

Demandbase Inc. announced the availability of a new Real-Time ID Service for Web Forms. The new Web service plugs in to existing forms to identify critical information, has real-time identification through Demandbases’s Business Resolution Platform, and seeks more accurate data quality through formatting consistency.

Datameer Inc. launched its first Hadoop-based solution for big data, Datameer Analytics Solution 1.0. Features with the debut release include: connectors with immediate access to common relational databases, file formats and data streams; AJAX-based dashboards for drag-and-drop reporting and personalized dashboards; an interactive spreadsheet interface that requires no programming; and a basis on JEE.

EMC launched its integrated data warehousing system, EMC Greenplum Data Computing Appliance. The new system delivers data loading at 10 terabytes per hour, enables private cloud virtualized warehousing and analytics infrastructure, and provides deduplication and recovery based on Data Domain technology. 

IBM made two product announcements: Blueworks Live, a cloud offering, and WebSphere Lombardi Edition, a BPM solution. Blueworks Live brings together process documentation and social community elements, and the ability to structure ad hoc processes. WebSphere Lombardi Edition has built-in, real-time monitoring and analytics, and a graphical design for ease of use.

released JasperReports Server Professional, a centrally-managed server for scheduling and distributing interactive reports. JasperReports Server Professional includes simplified report drill-down design and integration, secure access to integrate existing identity management directories, use from multiple data sources and for exporting various formats, and allows for scheduling of thousands of reports on a single server.  

Pentaho made two releases aimed at use of Hadoop by the commercial BI market. Pentaho Data Integration for Hadoop is a zero-programming, graphical design environment that allows movement of information in and out of Hadoop, and lets developers design and execute massively scalable ETL jobs. Pentaho BI Suite for Hadoop, which includes the data integration platform, allows users to run production, operational and batch reporting against the full set of data in Hadoop as well as create data marts.

QlikTech put out the newest version of its flagship BI solution, QlikView 10. Multi-core customers using QlikView 10 can expect 200-to-1,000-percent improvement in data loading performance. Also in the product, data objects refresh in real time and an associative search feature provides results as you type.

Rosslyn Analytics unveiled its cloud-based, self-service analytics solution, RA.Pid Self Service. Backed by RA.Pid Data Load Wizard, the self-service program includes: self-load spend data; self-enrich supplier information data; contract management and predictive modelling tools; customized prompts, sorts and filers; and instant keyword search.

SAP unveiled the newest platform for creating mobile applications and integrating data and processes, SAP NetWeaver 7.3. New additions to SAP NetWeaver include enhancements in identity management using SAML 2.0, increased Java support, non-disruptive upgrades to SAP Business Suite software, and support of more industry standard programs.
