BMC Software released ServiceDesk IT, its management application for deployment on the cloud platform operated by salesforce.com. ServiceDesk IT includes a pre-configured ITIL-based IT management application with features such as a consolidated service desk, self-service capabilities and inventory management.

DataRoket unveiled its namesake flagship data integration and visualization suite. Features with DataRoket include capabilities to connect to any type and number of data source within an organization or the cloud, and connection, storage and visualization capabilities for all data into a single, global view.

Dundas Data Visualization announced the release of Dundas Dashboard v2.5, a visualization platform for building dashboard solutions. Tools within the new version of the product include notification and alert services, in-memory caching, flexibility with dashboard monitoring on any device, OLAP and multidimensional data views, and additional data source connections.

Enkata announced the release of its Customer Experience Analyzer, a visual mapping tool that is part of Enkata’s Cross Channel Analytics solution. The Customer Experience Analyzer is a multi-channel analysis SaaS offering with capabilities including automatic detection of common channel paths, customer navigation and pattern identification, and measurement of how procedure changes impact contact patterns.

Fiorano Software released its latest Fiorano Cloud Platform, built on the company’s Enterprise Service bus that integrates applications across SaaS, PaaS and in-house areas. Fiorano Cloud Platform includes features such as crossover business process integration, flexibility of data access across various sources, widely available system messaging, and real-time, scalable, pay-as-you-go infrastructure.

Five9 announced the availability of its Cloud Computing Platform for Call Centers. The new version of the platform includes a reporting web services API to retrieve historical information, a statistics web services API for real-time metrics, and a solution for building call center applications to harness data from Five9 and any Web service used by an organization.

Kapow Software put out the latest version of its data integration and delivery portfolio, Kapow Katalyst 8.0. Running on the Kapow Extraction Browser data engine, the portfolio uses a browser-based data integration approach to avoid IT use of application programming interface. Other features include multiple project data sharing and delivery across the enterprise, connection to existing governance and compatibility with existing IT infrastructure.

Novell launched a new and renamed version of its business service management solution, Novell Operations Center. The Novell Operations Center (formerly known as Novell Business Service Manager) includes: Novell Cloud Manager and Novell PlateSpin Recon, to manage workload service levels for private cloud deployments; Novell Sentinel and Novell Identity Manager for combining security and infrastructure events; Novell ZENworks Asset Management and ZENworks Configuration Management for end-to-end view from desktop to data center; as well as integration with Amazon EC2.

Oracle unveiled the latest version of its process documentation tool, Oracle Tutor 14. Along with import and export capabilities with Oracle’s BPM Suite 11g and BPA Suite 11g, Oracle Tutor 14 features a single repository for documenting and sharing business processes and includes new content conversion capabilities for customization.

Paladyne Systems Inc. announced its latest version of the main components of its data management suite, Paladyne Security Master 7.0 and Paladyne Price Master 7.0. New to the products are: interface customization; client-specific validation rules; locks for data fields; Web-based dashboards and reporting tools; and an enhanced daily task manager.

ParAccel Inc. released the next generation of its analytics database, ParAccel Analytic Database 3.0. ParAccel Analytic Database 3.0 introduces new functionality to port analytics into a database, the capability for customers to access and store data based on a variety of business requirements, and extensible data management and workload management for concurrent sharing by thousands of users in a system.

Pentaho announced the availability of its new Pentaho Enterprise Data Services Suite. The suite includes: Pentaho Data Integration Enterprise Edition, an ETL management toolset for data mart and warehouse projects; Cloud Data Services, a software-free service to move data to the cloud; Big Data Services, with Hadoop integration and no programming; Metadata Services through the entire suite; and Analytic Data Services, with wizard-based aggregation tools for large analytical queries.

Tableau released the latest version of its data engine, Tableau 6.0. New to Tableau 6.0 are one-click data blending capabilities, quicker analysis of large data volumes, and in-memory processing with flexible architecture for optimizing data across available hardware.
