Absolute Software Corporation released the latest generation of its endpoint security and management solution. Central to Absolute Manage 6.1 is bring your own device support, including employee device enrollment automation and a BYOD Policy Implementation Guide.

Akitio introduced Cloud Hybrid to its personal cloud server product line. The hybrid cloud computing enclosure includes personal NAS, USB 3.0 storage access and remote Web-based access that is connected to Akitio’s free mobile app.

BlueStripe Software released FactFinder v6, the latest generation of its IT operations performance management solution. New in version six are: Java platform management; Web-based reports and personalized “executive dashboards”; and DNS transaction monitoring.

CA Technologies released CA Process Automation 4, the updated edition of its IT operational process automation solution. New or enhanced in the edition are capabilities for integration between infrastructure monitoring tools and service desks; remediation activity automation; more robust process workflows; and support for the adoption of cloud infrastructures.

Certes Networks launched its newest encryption appliance, CEP5 LC. Geared for data traffic flow security to remote locations, the compact appliance features tunnel-less protection and operates at up to 5 Mbps and under a range of temperatures.

Compuware Corporation announced the latest release of its integrated application performance management solution. Compuware APM Spring 2012 Platform Release includes industry-specific features under its dynaTrace and Gomez brands, as well as a new user experience management feature and connections to mobile users and devices.

Informatica Corporation announced the latest edition of its namesake integration platform. Informatica 9.5 includes specific enhancements for large and unstructured data sets, such as a visual data transformation environment backed by the Hadoop framework and real-time monitoring and pattern identification of event streams. The updated version also includes historical and dimensional views of business data and an embeddable cloud service.

Iron Mountain now offers Iron Mountain Electronic Invoice, a service for managing accounts payable invoices. The invoice service consists of a shared mailing service center, cloud-based workflow automation, archiving and destruction, and real-time dashboards and monitoring.

Lavastorm Analytics released a free edition of its desktop analytic software. Lavastorm Desktop Public is based on the vendor’s analytics engine, and enables manipulation of file-based data and controls for acquiring, aggregating and publishing the data.

MuleSoft unveiled its new tools and services for SaaS integration in the cloud. Mule iON SaaS Edition features graphical data mapping and transformation, cloud connectors for public and private Web APIs, customer self-service portals, and live integration reporting from operational dashboards.

Netik LLC dialed up a mobility data management and client reporting solution. vMobile includes access to devices such as the iPad, Samsung Galaxy and Blackberry Playbook, and brings to the mobile arena its platform capabilities for data creation, distribution, management and security.

Pano Logic released its Pano System 6 software for desktop virtualization. New to the software is Pano Virtual Client, which converts PCs or laptops into virtual desktop clients. In addition, the latest version features enhancements to security via RSA SecurID.

SAP made a host of updates and new releases during its SAPPHIRE Now user conference, including: SAP Visual Intelligence, a desktop version of its BusinessObjects Explorer software that enables layered views, queries and report building layered atop its HANA in-memory platform: an “accelerated” cloud strategy marked by releases like an all new cloud-based general ledger and financial accounting solution, SAP Financials OnDemand; and mobile applications such as Travel Expense Report, which allows employees to update reporting from mobile devices, and SAP Learning Assistant, which manages course materials and downloads for offline consumption.

Semarchy announced the availability of its master data management platform, Convergence 1.3. Updated in the release are new governance applications, business objects, forms and tables to fit use cases, data lineage and rejected records management, and a refined interface based on logical model definition.

Solix Technologies made updates to its data management suite. Solix Enterprise Data Management Suite 5.5 features an extension of its Solix EDMS Data Discovery to further address discovery, confidential information location and data masking, as well as pre-built search patterns and support across data sources.

Starcounter introduced its new eponymous in-memory database. The Starcounter database is tooled for highly transactional large-scale and real-time applications, with capabilities to handle millions of users, integrate with outside applications and process millions of ACID-compliant database transactions per second on a server that can handle up to a terabyte of updatable data.
