Black Duck Software announced the availability of Black Duck Suite 6, the company’s enterprise-class-management and governance platform for open source software. Enhancements in the new version include automated discovery and identification of FOSS and other code, learned matching to connect internal experts, developer-focused component request, and expansion of its source code resources.

Groupsoft unveiled a new enterprise software solution for merchandise and assortment planning for mid-to-large-scale retailers. Available as a stand-alone or supplemental solution, features in GrMAP include integrated sales and planning forecasts, SKU accuracy, localization of information, cross-channel planning and reduced markdowns.  

HiT Software Inc. released new versions of its connectivity products for IBM databases. HiT ODBC/DB2 v6.2 and HiT OLEDB/DB2 v4.2 both include32-bit and 64-bit platform support; new C# toolkit in developer editions; and full support for Microsoft Windows 7, Visual Studio 2010, Office 2010, and IBM DB2 UDB 9.x and z/OS 9.x, including backward compatibility for previous version.

IBM launched a new version of IBM InfoSphere Master Data Management Server for Product Information V9.1. Features include: content management system integration, serviceability enhancements for log collecting, data model attribute enhancements, usability and look-and-feel enhancements, and a new Web service platform.

Jaspersoft has added data integration capabilities with its BI Enterprise Suite. New ETL features include a central repository for collaborative job design, change data capture and error recovery; centralized monitoring and management tools; event-based triggers; and a more flexible architecture.

OpenNebula announced the general availability of OpenNebula 2.2. Now up for download, the latest version of OpenNebula extends fault-tolerance features of the toolkit, and features a graphical interface and out-of-the-box integration with a data center’s monitoring systems.

SailPoint rolled out a new solution, the Cloud Identity Bridge, which extends identity management capabilities of its SailPoint IdentityIQ to all applications deployed in the cloud. Cloud Identity Bridge enables an extension of identity governance and provisioning programs in private and public clouds, and includes access certifications, remediating policy violations, audit and compliance report production, and provisioning changes.

Workday Inc. opened its Workday Integration Cloud Platform to customers and partners. Platform features include the development tool Workday Studio, a graphical and guided interface builder and connections to the company’s integration platform as a service.
