Augme Technologies Inc. launched AD LIFE™ v4.0, its SaaS mobile marketing software platform. Built on Augme’s proprietary Augme Mark-up Language, AD LIFE™ v4.0 has site builder capabilities for automated delivery of content to 3G/4G smartphones, along with API architecture for widespread compatibility and consumer data aggregation.

CA Technologies delivered new and updated products for mainframe management. New Mainframe 2.0 products include: CA Mainframe Software Manager, with enhanced Install Shield-like capabilities and automated processes; CA Endevor Software Change Manager, with a new user interface and integration via Web services; CA SYSVIEW Performance Management, with use of zIIP specialty engine and added integration; and operational efficiency to its CA Mainframe Software Stack.

Cloudera Inc. introduced new software for the management of Hadoop throughout the operational lifecycle of a system. Cloudera Enterprise 3.5 features a new automated service and configuration manager, a consolidated user view activity monitor, and enhancements to its resource and authorization managers.

DocPath introduced Ipanema, its new document management solution. DocPath Ipanema features a collaborative, multiplatform design environment built using Java, and provides an electronic forms environment, graphical design of process flows and integration with tools such as Microsoft Word and Excel.

EnterpriseDB announced the availability of Postgres Plus Advanced Server 9.0. New to the updated version is a parallel data loader, and enhancements were made to its Oracle compatibility, support for replication from SQL Server to PostgreSQL, and its Infinite Cache for adding nodes without disruption.

HStreaming LLC launched its eponymous real-time data processing platform. Powered by Apache Hadoop, HStreaming includes real-time processing and ETL capabilities for Hadoop, integration that enables reuse of tooling, languages and existing queries, and software scales to hundreds of machines.

Kognitio released a family of data warehouse appliances for specific volumes and speed. New to Kognitio’s appliance stack are: Rapids, an in-memory appliance for high-speed analytic operations; Rivers, for medium-capacity data applications; and Lakes, for large data volumes, but simple reporting requirements.

MapR Technologies unveiled updates to its Hadoop big data software. Along with the new MapR Advantage Partner Program, MapR made available: MapR M5 Edition, with high availability, data protection and 24/7 support; and MapR M3 Edition is now offered free for an unlimited number of nodes.

Visibility announced the next generation of its ERP software. version 8 features new reports and capabilities for data loading from external sources, enhancements to Excel integration and a new Warehouse Management module for wireless handheld bar coded inventory transactions.
