Cirro officially launched its company and announced their product suite, designed to simplify data access and exploration across multiple data sources. This product suite is composed of three major components: Cirro Data Hub, which offers analytic data services from a single point of entry; Cirro Analyst for Excel, which helps analyst access and process big data; and Cirro Multi Store, which offers a data store than can used for staging, workspace or a data mart and utilizes Hadoop.
IBM releases its new Analytical Decision Management software, which automatically correlates and analyzes large data sets. Part of IBM Smarter Analytics initiative, this software includes Entity Analytic, an analytics engine that enables identification and matching for all entities, be they people, places or things, as well as a social network analytics feature that enables companies to analyze customer behavior.
MemSQL announced the release of its in-memory data tier product which offers speedy access to a SQL interface. MemSQL offers sub-millisecond response times for analysis on massive datasets, real-time analytics on data in flux and increased transactional throughput on commodity hardware.
Oracle unveils Primavera Inspire for SAP 8.0, which helps customers execute large capital projects and maintenance operations by aligning material, resource, schedule and financial information. This release reduces silos by extending the interoperability between Oracle's Primavera P6 Enterprise Project Portfolio Management and SAP's enterprise resource planning (ERP) project related applications.
Pervasive Software launched Pervasive Data Integrator v10 – Hadoop Edition, which enables Hadoop users to rapidly flow all their business data to and from their big data stores. This software allows users to move data from traditional data stores, including DB2, MySQL, Netezza, Oracle and Teradata, into HBase, the NoSQL database provided free with all Hadoop distributions.
Roubroo released its Business Process Management Suite this week. Fully cloud based, Roubroo’s BPM executes BPMN 2.0 natively, helping organizations to orchestrate system activities across enterprise applications, and is also built for SaaS, from the ground up.
Versant announced that its Java Persistance API (JPA) is compatible with Spring, an application development framework for enterprise Java. This coupling allows developers to manage the volume, variety and velocity of big data with standards-based coding skills and eliminates obstacles to NoSQL adoptions, such as learning proprietary APIs.
Xyratex introduced ClusterStor 6000, a data storage solution for HPC and big data Users. ClusterStor 600 provides linear performance scalability, with a capacity from terabytes to petabytes. Also included is ClusterStor Manager, a system management application that consolidates management of the storage infrastructure, RAID data protection layer, operating system, and the Lustre file system.
Yellowfin unveiled Yellowfin 6.1, the latest addition of its self-service BI product. This launch offers a new native application for iPhone, the ability to apply geometry data to Google maps, multilingual reports and support for a great range of databases, including D3, Haddop, SAP HaANA, Vertica and Lucid.
