Advanced Systems Concepts Inc. updated a new version of its flagship offering. ActiveBatch V8 features increased support and integration for Java and Microsoft System Center’s suite, new Informatica, Powershell and Netezza integration, and enhanced user interface views.
Dataguise launched DgSuite 3.5, featuring enhanced offerings for database security and data discovery. Included in the updated release are: DgDashboard, with an aim of viewing and sharing data across the enterprise; DgDiscover, for automated identification, categorization and review of data; and DgMasker for transparent protection of data in non-production and business analysis environments.
HumanConcepts its new platform for human resources data visualization, change management and analytics: HumanConcepts Organisational Planning Suite. Features in the new platform include a user-configurable interface, enterprise-wide access and sharing for charts and visuals, connections through shared portals and mobile devices, and risk and trend analysis through point-in-time charts.
MicroStrategy Inc. made enhancements to the latest version of its business intelligence software, MicroStrategy 9.2.1. A new product in the software is Transaction Services, which enables actions from mobile devices, and the new version also includes a connection for creation of mobile apps and increased mobile security, and new image and visualization capabilities.
Oracle unveiled its virtual desktop client app for iPad. With delivery for highly secure access, the Oracle Virtual Desktop Client App features keyboard operation, access to virtual desktops managed by Oracle’s Sun Ray Software and Virtual Desktop Infrastructure, and an interface that supports switching between other iOS apps along with network-intensive applications.
Platform Computing announced the availability of Platform MapReduce, its distributed runtime engine for MapReduce applications. Features in the unstructured data release include up to 10,000 priority levels for utilization, and support for multiple MapReduce applications and applications running different versions on the same cluster.
Silwood Technology Ltd. announced the new release of Saphir 5.5. The updated release includes a new structured approach for data discovery, an enhanced foundation for building data warehouses, increased control over data detail when exporting to outside tools, and heightened search and filtering capabilities.
SnapLogic added to the data quality capabilities in the latest release of its cloud integration platform, SnapLogic Summer 2011 Release. The new edition includes enhancements and additions for data cleansing, parsing, matching and deduplication, as well as a rules-based configuration environment and a connection to the NoSQL database CouchDB.
