Actuate released the latest version of its BI software. BIRT Analytics v4.2 features association rules for detecting purchase patterns over time; decision trees, which allows predictions of outcomes based on decision paths; and campaign workflows for setting up a process to improve campaigns based on analysis. Co3 Systems expanded its Privacy Module with coverage for privacy regulations in the EU. Expanded coverage areas include PII definition and identification, regulatory reporting triggers and responsibility and non-regulatory breach communications. 

DataStax unveiled new editions of its database software, powered by Apache Cassandra. DataStax Enterprise 3.1 features Apache Solr 4.3 integration, 10 times more Cassandra data per node than the previous version and the new Cassandra Query Language binary protocol with .NET Java drivers. DataStax Community Edition 2.0 includes eager retries, triggers, CQL cursors and Compare and Set, a transaction mechanism that helps ensure users do not overwrite each other’s work. 

Denodo Technologies released the latest version of its namesake platform. Denodo Platform v5.0 features improved Hadoop and NoSQL connectivity, unified data governance, Linked Data Services and a new caching system, backed by scheduled pre-fetch and data movement/ETL when needed. 

IBM unveiled its zEnterprise BC12 mainframe. With a 4.2 GHz processor, the zBC12 features faster processing and two times the available memory as its predecessor, z114. IBM also released a Linux-only based version of the zBC12, the Enterprise Linux Server, which includes hardware, a z/VM Hypervisor and the capacity to run over 3,000 Linux applications. 

Liaison Technologies announced enhancements to its flagship data integration and transformation solutions, including Contivo, Delta and Electronic Commerce Server solutions. Upgrades include Global Data Maps that allow integration platforms greater flexibility for metadata within the transformation layer; a new virtualized FTP Mailbox Server that delivers a managed file transfer solution to host client data; and JSON mapping support in Delta, for mapping support in both REST-based as well as SOAP-based Web services. unveiled the fourth generation of Chatter Mobile. Chatter Mobile enables employees to edit records, view dashboards and prioritize tasks remotely. Soonr Workplace now includes: full support from, including online backup, file sharing and collaboration and mobile cases to shared documents and data; integration to’s Nexus Service Delivery Platform; and 24/7/365 access to Support’s technical support. 

Tableau unveiled Tableau Online, its SaaS or hosted version of Tableau Server. The solution enables users to share dashboards, edit data remotely (from the Web or via a mobile device), centrally manage data and metadata, and automatically pull data from cloud data sources (such as and Google Analytics) or pushed from inside a firewall to Tableau Online.
