Actian unveiled two new products that integrate assets from its acquisitions of ParAccel, Pervasive Software and Versant Corporation. Actian DataCloud Platform is an elastic cloud-based platform that features: one-click integration between existing SaaS and on-premise applications; prepackaged apps, maps and data services; and scalable data integration, profiling and matching. ParAccel Big Data Analytics Platform is a real-time platform that features: high-speed execution for data provision, data discovery and native Hadoop analytics; analytic libraries; and a scalable platform fitting from startups to the enterprise-level.
BlueStripe unveiled FactFinder Transaction Monitoring for Windows Azure, its application and transaction monitoring solution. The solution tracks transactions across hybrid environments that include systems in the data center and in the Azure Cloud, virtual machines, public, private and hybrid clouds and third-party services, and drills down to the server stack in an effort to determine the source of a disruption.
CA Technologies unveiled the latest version of its application performance management solution. CA Cross-Enterprise APM v3.0 features include enhanced dashboards and reduced time-to-value with alerting and, it enables non application-centric employees to identify and isolate performance problems.
Infor unveiled the latest edition of its namesake BI solution. Infor Business Intelligence 10x includes an HTML-5 user interface, Infor Ming.le and Infor ION Business Vault.
Intel released its Virtual Gateway, a cross-platform keyboard-video-mouse software development kit used for diagnosing and troubleshooting data center hardware. The solution can support up to 10,000 managed devices and 50 simultaneous session of remote access, features a reference graphical user interface and supports Dell PowerEdge 12G Rack/Blade server with iDRAC 7.
Microsoft added a set of BI tools to its hosted Office 365 service. Power BI for Office 365 includes: Power Query, formerly called Data Explorer, which allows a user to pull external data into an Excel spreadsheet; Power Map, which can place geographically coded data on a map; and a natural language query engine.
Red Hat announced two new open source solutions. Red Hat Enterprise Linux OpenStack Platform provides a foundation for running the OpenStack workload servers (compute nodes, storage nodes and controller nodes) as well as a scalable Linux operating system for guest virtual machines. Red Hat Cloud Infrastructure provides a scalable, fault-tolerant platform integrated with Red Hat Enterprise Linux for developing a managed private or public cloud for cloud-enabled workloads.
SAP unveiled the version 4.2 of SAP Data Services and SAP Information Steward. New capabilities include cleansing support across 36 countries, geocoding enhancements across 20 countries, support for Apache Hadoop and a simplified software developer kit for SAP Data Services. Also available, SAP Sybase Adaptive Server Enterprise 15.7 SP100 includes enhanced monitoring and diagnostic capabilities, and increased scalability.
Toshiba unveiled its Virtual Desktop Service, a cloud offering that enables Windows OS and other software to be installed, stored, run and managed on server in Toshiba data centers. The solution supports a BYOD program, utilizes Citrix XenDesktop, eliminates the need for data center hardware and supports Windows, Linus, Android and iOS.
Xen, in conjunction with Linux, unveiled Xen 4.3. Its server virtualization security solution features experimental support for ARM virtualization, both 32-bit and 64-bit variants, NUMA-aware scheduling and openvswitch, as a bridging mechanism.
