BMC announced the availability of its Remedy OnDemand solution for government and public higher education markets. The IT service management SaaS solution is designed to meet federal security standards for the service and infrastructure, and includes user functionality to address scale and self-administration. Dell is hosting the solution and its capabilities are in line with BMC’s on-premise IT Service Management Suite.

IBM launched its IBM Netezza Customer Intelligence Appliance. Built for retail analytics of up to a petabyte of data, the IBM Netezza Customer Intelligence Appliance includes a single view of customers across channels and sales touch points in real-time.

Infor unveiled the business application provider’s cloud-based mobile platform, Infor10 Motion. The Infor10 Motion platform provides connections to back office systems through smartphones and tablets and built on loosely couple architecture of its ION framework. Along with the platform, Infor released two applications: Infor10 Road Warrior, for mobile CRM with embedded BI; and InforION Activity Deck, for user response to tasks, real-time alerts and requests.

Jesta I.S. released a new solution, Vision PLM, for retailers, manufacturers and distributors in the soft goods and specialty industries. The product lifecycle management software includes capabilities for PDM, merchandise planning, multi-level project management, user and role-based calendars and field-based workflow management.

Joomla made enhancements to its namesake open source content management system. Joomla 2.5 includes new features for advanced search and automatic notification of Joomla core and extension updates, as well as multi-database support from Microsoft SQL Server.

Lityx released LityxIQ 2.0, its hosted marketing predictive analytics solution. Central to the new edition is the capability to deploy predictive data models with point-and-click automation. Version 2.0 also features an enhanced Data Manager for importing and creating metadata and data manipulation.

LogicMonitor announced an updated release of its eponymous SaaS-based solution. LogicMonitor includes new or enhanced features for geographic host mapping, external website monitoring in beta, proactive alerting, reporting on critical infrastructure as well as Datasources, its built-in technology monitoring capability.

NTP Software announced its new solution for managing file data, NTP Software File Intelligence. NTP Software File Intelligence includes features that support corporate governance and regulatory compliance, enable responses to litigation issues, and address risks associated with digital asset and intellectual property theft.

Oracle updated its in-memory database, Oracle TimesTen In-Memory Database 11g Release 2. The sophomore edition of the database includes enhancements to its real-time online transaction processing applications, as well as new functionality for real-time analytics and user scalability.  

Proofpoint introduced Proofpoint Enterprise Governance, an enterprise data governance solution for companywide monitoring. Functionality in the governance solution includes:  monitoring and control of information across data stores and communication channels; compliance retention for all types of documents and messages; and policy-based protection for data at rest.
