Active Risk announced the launch of ARM 6, the latest release of its enterprise risk management solution. New features include multi-currency and multi-language enablement, self-service reports and dashboards, and an offline risk application with synchronization to ARM’s corporate risk register.

Amazon Web Services previewed Amazon Redshift, its new enterprise data warehouse service. Scaled to a petabyte-scale on demand, Amazon Redshift is compatible with common SQL query tools and an instance can be launched remotely by a customer from Amazon’s Management Console. In addition, this release features technology components licensed from ParAccel. Separately, Amazon began offering Elastic Cloud Computing hardware configurations as a hosted service with in-memory storage for high performance analytics. (For more on this story, click here.)
