Active Risk announced the launch of ARM 6, the latest release of its enterprise risk management solution. New features include multi-currency and multi-language enablement, self-service reports and dashboards, and an offline risk application with synchronization to ARM’s corporate risk register.
Amazon Web Services previewed Amazon Redshift, its new enterprise data warehouse service. Scaled to a petabyte-scale on demand, Amazon Redshift is compatible with common SQL query tools and an instance can be launched remotely by a customer from Amazon’s Management Console. In addition, this release features technology components licensed from ParAccel. Separately, Amazon began offering Elastic Cloud Computing hardware configurations as a hosted service with in-memory storage for high performance analytics. (For more on this story, click here.)
Amdocs introduced the Amdocs Product Lifecycle Management solution. The solution centralizes and automates a service provider’s internal workflow, features product information from Amdocs’ Enterprise Product Catalog and can be integrated into the service provider’s systems environment.
Aprimo released the latest version of its integrated marketing management offering. Aprimo Marketing Studio 8.8 features simplified data entry for financial tasks, social media integration via its Aprimo Social Adapter and flexible e-mail content creation capabilities.
Attunity announced the availability of Attunity CloudBeam, its data transfer SaaS platform for Amazon Web Services Simple Storage Service. This platform enables uploading of data to the cloud via managed file transfer or command line interface, and replication of data across cloud regions.
BitYota unveiled its data warehouse-as-a-service on Amazon Web Services. Users can load data from varied sources, such as S3, NoSQL stores and RDBMS; BitYota also natively supports SQL92 and works within the existing ecosystem of programming languages and BI tools.
Cubeware announced Cubeware Cockpit Mobile BI, a mobile app from which users can access Cubeware Cockpit V6pro, its BI and performance management solution. Available for iOS and Android, the app supports MS Analysis Services, Infor PM OLAP, IBM Cognos TM1, SAP BI and Oracle Essbase.
DIGIOP released DIGIOP ELEMENTS 8.5, the latest version of its video and data management software. This version features analytical tools, including advanced heat mapping and dwell metrics, GoMobile, its application for remote access and management, and increased integration with various devices, including APC NetBotz, GeoVision 360 and Hikvision.
Dundas Data Visualization announced the launch of Dundas Mobile, its mobile app for access to interactive dashboards and reports. Dundas Mobile includes custom-defined notifications and alerts, constant data flow from all sources and capabilities for granular data drill-downs.
Eccentex Corporation announced the launch of AppBase 4.5, a cloud-based platform for creating dynamic case management applications. The latest version of Eccentex’s integration layer technology and SOA architecture extends connectivity with other application and existing systems, as well as the ability to handle disparate data types.
Granta Design announced the latest release of GRANTA MI, its materials information management system for engineering enterprises. GRANTA MI v6 enables users to handle real materials data, access and apply managed materials within CAD/CAE and report on restricted substance risk within CAD.
HP released HP 3PAR StoreServ 7000, its Tier 1 storage platform. The storage solution has autonomic management built-in, support for converged block and file services, and the ability to add controllers, disks and ports instead of purchasing an additional array. The 7200 model is a two-controller system with up to 144 hard drives and 120 SSDs and the 7400 model comes with two or four controllers with 240 hard drives per controllers and a total of 240 SSDs.
ManageEngine announced support for storage monitoring in IT360, its integrated IT management solution. The latest version of IT360 supports multi-vendor SAN and NAS solutions and performs fault management activities by capturing sensor information.
Manthan Systems introduced the latest version of its ARC platform for retail analytics and BI. ARC 6.4 features collaborative analytics, cloud-based collaboration with vendors, embedded workflows and new visualization techniques for reviewing performance.
OneShield released the latest version of Dragon Designer, its solution for property/casual and general insurers. Dragon Designer 6.0 features access to data in consolidated views, multi-language support and a revamped user interface.
Plexxi unveiled its software defined network (SDN) system, comprised of Plexxi Control and Plexxi Switch 1. Plexxi Control is the server-based software, which features workload modeling, algorithmic network fitting and global network control. Plexxi Switch 1 is a SDN-based Ethernet switch with low latency and adaptable data center networks for clouds and dynamic data centers.
ScaleIO announced the release of ScaleIO ECS v1.1, its scale-out storage software. ScaleIO ECS presents business application servers’ local disks as a shared virtual SAN, natively supports Linux distributors and hypervisors, and works with any SSD or HDD.
Yellowfin unveiled Storyboard, a presentation and collaboration platform for BI. Fully integrated into its namesake application, Storyboard enables users to create slide show, with images, graphics and video from BI content.
