Birst launched its In-Memory Analytics Database, a standalone relational database offering that centers on ad hoc analysis of business data, rather than transactional information as in other in-memory releases. The database features a columnar structure setup and parallel processing, and functionality that builds on Birst’s data warehouse automation technology of integrating data sources into a multidimensional design. Data analysis is modified in real time and is based on a SQL interface and JAVA for enhanced compatibility with disparate applications and existing infrastructure.

BMC Software announced the latest version of its Atrium Discovery and Dependency Mapping solution. New to the updated version are: a virtual appliance with agentless discovery usable within a few hours; Web-based dashboards, reports and search; and data provenance for information accuracy.

CA Technologies unveiled its next generation application, infrastructure and network performance system, CA Application Performance Management 9.1. The updated version monitors all Web and offline transactions in real-time, connections between business transaction performance and its dependent application, and features Unified End-User Experience Monitoring, which monitors user experience and network performance through a single appliance.

iDashboards updated its BI dashboard software, iDashboards v7.5. iDashboards v7.5 includes a presentation chart library, capabilities for visually interactive text data, updated and new chart types, and additional dashboard development features, like drill-down data diagnostics and an HTML panel.

ISYS Search Software added new features to its enterprise search software. ISYS Enterprise 10.0 includes a customizable user interface, an advanced visual navigation tool, a refined search timeline bar, multi-core indexing, and an extension of types of documents that can be searched and seen.

Lumesse released the latest version of its SaaS e-learning authoring platform. CourseBuilder 6.1 includes new software architecture and database handling capabilities, a new archive feature to create backup courses, as well as enhanced user functionality.

Nuxeo made available Nuxeo Platform 5.5, its open source unified platform for building and running content-centric applications. The updated version includes new social collaboration capabilities, Android-based mobile device readiness and an enhanced developer experience.

Oracle put out an updated version of a solution in its Oracle Social Services Suite. Siebel CRM Public Sector 8.2.2 features enhancements for benefits management and appeals, eased integration with Oracle Policy Administration, and more capabilities for auditing and decision reporting.

Syncplicity introduced its Security and Compliance Console. The new console includes: centralized control over desktop and mobile devices and tracking of corporate data; enforcement of data retention policies; remote wiping of user accounts; and scalable enterprise-wide deployment with optional two-factor authentification.

Yellowfin made enhancements its namesake BI and data analysis software. Yellowfin 6 includes new native application for the iPad, an in-app “inbox” for control of information delivery, syndicated dashboards, detail drill-downs for all data sources in a database, and an enhanced drag-and-drop report builder.
