Alert Logic launched Alert Logic Web Security Manager, which utilizes WAF and Alert Logic’s Security Operations Center (SOC) to protect from Web application and website attacks. The Security as a Service product offers protection against SQL injection, cross-site scripting and OS command injections, XML Web service support and coverage for OWASP Top Ten.

Alteryx released the Communication edition of their Alteryx Strategic Analytics. This release integrates data from BSS, OSS and CRM, access to various data sources (e.g. data warehouse and databases from Oracle, SAP and Teradata, Hadoop data stores and NoSQL databases) and spatial and location-based intelligence, such as geocoding, drive-time analytics and spatial and demographic analysis. 

Critical Watch released their ACI Recommendation Engine, allowing users to consolidate multiple disparate data points into s unified view of risks and recommend countermeasures. This release allows semi and fully automated workflow to initiate the countermeasure process, integrates third-party security tools, such as SIEM solutions, reducing the need for manual involvement.

eTask Technologies releases the latest version of eTask-it, its online project management platform. This platform integrates PPM and BPM, allowing project-based organizations to define, execute and govern projects. Updates include tweaks in their user interface, a planning module and configurable dashboard widgets.

Fusion-io released ION Data Accelerator, which allows open server platforms to act as shared acceleration devices for multiple applications or clusters. This software, which can be deployed on Tier 1 open systems servers, allows for synchronous replication clustering options, low-latency performance, as well as integration with shared storage technologies, such as 8G-bit fibre channel, QDR InfiniBand and 10Gbit iSCSI.

IBM introduced Security Network Intrusion Prevention System, its network security appliance which helps control social media and web browsing risks. This release, which features IBM’s Advanced Threat Protection Platform, allows clients to enforce security policies with granular, application-level controls, while viewing which applications and web sites are being accessed.

Nimble Storage unveiled their scale-to-fit storage solutions, which can be combined into a scale-out cluster. This release features additional storage shelves, greater throughput and IOPS, as well as an expanded cache with larger SSDs to handle more active data.

Overland Storage announced that SnapServer DX2, its SAN storage server, now supports SSDs. With this release, IT managers can customize to increase levels of performance when required in high IOP environments, such as virtualization, databases, file serving, and virtual desktop infrastructures, as well as mixing and matching  SSD, SAS and SATA hard drives, expanding up to 288TB.within a single chassis.

TwinStrata announced CloudArray is now available as an in-cloud gateway to support cloud-based infrastructures. Available in various cloud environments (including IBM SmartCloud Enterprise, Rackspace and Amazon EC2), this release offers disaster recovery for on-premise applications, multi-site data replication for cloud applications and off-cloud replication. 

WS02 launched their API Manager, an open-source beta program that combines managed API access with governance and analysis. This release offers full support of the API lifecycle, secure authorization of subscribed applications via the OAuth 2.0 key model, and throttling and SLA management.
