Acronis unveiled three new backup offerings. Acronis Backup and Recovery for vCloud features self-service backup, disaster recovery and migration, and a complete infrastructure-as-a-service offering, including protection of virtual machines. Acronis vmProtect 9 features self-backup and multidestination backup, and integrates with VMware vCenter. Acronis True Image 2014 features full and incremental disk image backup to local storage and the Acronis Cloud, incremental restore from the cloud and support for Windows 8.

Capgemini announced that Elastic Analytics, its BI and big data analytics solution, is available via Amazon Web Services. Elastic Analytics is an integrated solution that includes the infrastructure, management, security, support and maintenance to run analytics solution in a cloud environment. With the integration of AWS, the solution utilizes ETL technologies and the AWS Hadoop-based solution, Amazon Elastic MapReduce, to extract and merge the data into analytics engines.

Check Point released Check Point R77, the latest version of its software blade architecture. New features include: Check Point ThreatCloud Emulation; Check Point HyperSpect, an adaptive content inspection engine; and Check Point Compliance Software Blade, a firewall with an automated compliance monitoring solution. 

Clarizen announced the latest version of its enterprise social and project management solution. Clarizen v6 features drag-and-drop resource allocation, internal and external social collaboration, object preview and an internal search engine.

Codelathe released the latest version of its on-premise enterprise file sharing and mobile access solution. Tonido File Cloud v3.0 enables users to share files with external partners via the Web and mobile devices, integrates with ClamAV to prevent viruses from being uploaded to FileCloud and allows users to share with groups and download a whole directory or multiple files as a compress zip file.

FICO introduced FICO Model Builder for Big Data. Part of the FICO Decision Management Platform, the analytics tool features mining capabilities, a Semantic Scorecard formulation, integration with Apache Hadoop and embedded Lucene and Tike indexing and extraction libraries. 

HP introduced SAP’s HANA in-memory database technology over an as-a-service model. The package includes the HANA software license with hardware and ongoing management, and will run in HP’s managed cloud environment, either as a managed virtual private cloud or a managed private cloud. Infor unveiled the latest version of its Inforce software. Its solution for integrating Salesforce with Infor ERP and financial solutions now features support for multi-ERP and multicompany data, business object documents and Inforce Quote, which is designed to receive and display quote information from Infor ERP.

Red Hat unveiled Red Hat Enterprise Virtualized Promotional Offering. The single subscription offering includes Red Hat Enterprise Virtualization, a platform for large-scale virtualization initiatives and private cloud deployments, featuring an enterprise management systems, and Red Hat Enterprise Linux Server, for running the OpenStack workload servers and a scalable Linux operating system for guest virtual machines.

Software AG unveiled its webMethods Intelligent Business Operations Platform. Integrating JackBe’s analytics and visualization capabilities, the platform includes a comprehensive overview of operational processes by combining live, historical and transactional data with machine-to-machine communications into real-time visualizations. 

Unitrends released Unitrends Enterprise Backup Free Edition for the unlicensed version of VMware vSphere Hypervisor. The solution provides host- and guest-level protection for virtual and physical environments, as well as backup and recovery, archiving, replication and virtualization failover. 

ViewSonic unveiled its latest zero client, ViewSonic SD-Z245. The desktop display features an integrated Tera2321 CPU, Teradici virtualization technology, support for 2D and 3D graphics intensive applications and is five times faster than the previous generation of Teradici-based zero clients.
