Amplidata announced the availability of its AS30 storage module for the AmpliStor XT Storage System for Big Data. The module includes 30 terabytes of capacity in a 1U form factor that features 50 percent more storage capacity and a 30 percent reduction in power use. AS30 can deploy more than a petabyte of storage capacity in a standard data center rack and can cross multiple racks for diverse deployments.
Certes Networks introduced vCEP, its scalable network encryption solution for cloud deployments. The virtual appliance enables protection of network traffic among virtual servers and between clouds without tunneling, and encrypts network traffic from Infrastructure as a Service offerings to data centers across WAN and from server to server.
EMC released its VSPEX platform for building an all-inclusive private cloud. Developed with Cisco Systems and VMware, the platform folds computing, virtualization and storage into a single system and offers channel partners construction of systems for vertical industries. EMC is also incorporating a lab program for certification of configurations and plans to link a security provider to the offering.
Epicor made available Epicor eMarketing and eSurveys tools as Software as a Service offerings. Key features of Epicor eMarketing include the ability to build personalized HTML emails and Web microsites with no HTML programming required. The software generates customized email campaigns with detailed measurement reports, such as who opened the email and when the action took place. Epicor eSurveys enables businesses to gain real-time data on customers’ opinions, behaviors and preferences, and make better business decisions based upon the data. The product creates a hyperlink for each survey, allowing businesses to deliver questions via email, embed them in a Web site, and integrate surveys into social media such as Facebook, offering multiple response mechanisms. GoGrid introduced its Big Data Solution. Based on a hybrid infrastructure and managed through a vendor portal, the Big Data Solution can serve NoSQL solution content through application servers and features preconfigured hardware that matches Cloudera’s Hadoop distribution offering.
ManageEngine released the latest generation of its ServiceDesk Plus. The ITIL-ready help desk software includes new features like a configuration management database, an upgraded service catalog, automation of common processes and an enhanced self-service portal.
Rackspace launched a slate of solutions with cloud capabilities powered by OpenStack and built on Fanatical Support. New and available, with support, are: Cloud Servers, a scalable solution accessible via OpenStack API; Cloud Control Panel, featuring server tagging and multiple region capabilities; Cloud Databases, a MySQL database based on SAN storage; and Cloud Monitoring, with features for infrastructure and application monitoring.
TITUS released the latest versions of two of its products. TITUS Message Classification, and its sister product, TITUS Classification for Microsoft Office, both include enhanced classification capabilities, integration with DLP solutions, notations of emails in Outlook, and added security.
Yellowfin constructed a new iPhone application, which features the ability to collect content to the device, subscription and saving of preferred reports and filter results, and drill-down through data and set alerts.
