Almost two-thirds of enterprises are looking for increased integration among their currently separate e-channel applications, according to Aberdeen Group’s just-published “E-Channel Awareness Report.”
“Corporations have been telling us for some time now that to better optimize their online presence they want increased integration between their content management, search, categorization, personalization and Web analytics applications,” says Guy Creese, research director, Internet Analytics, Aberdeen Group. “This trend toward what Aberdeen calls E-Channel Awareness (ECA) is confirmed yet again with our recent survey, with 31 percent of respondents saying they would prefer to purchase an integrated suite, 31 percent a certified set of integrated applications and only 38 percent looking for point products. In short, having a great point product is no longer enough; enterprises now want a great point product and integration.”
