Dayton, Ohio, April 11, 2000 – NCR Corporation announced the acquisition of Ceres Integrated Solutions, a leading provider of customer relationship management (CRM) solutions and a leader in retail targeted marketing applications. The cash and stock transaction is valued at approximately $90 million.

The acquisition, effective immediately, creates a market leader with the combination of NCR's Relationship Optimizer CRM suite and Ceres to form the NCR CRM Solutions Division. The combination provides true multichannel CRM, with timely personal offers and the ability to analyze customer behavior from many dimensions. The new division is expected to drive sales of new data warehouses and expansion of existing warehouses.
