As the vice president of chapter services, I have the diverse responsibility of helping new chapters around the world get started, as well as assisting struggling chapters to stay afloat. We are excited to be working with new chapters forming in London, Germany, Michigan and Ohio. Several other potential chapter locations surfaced at the recent DAMA International Symposium. Unfortunately, I am also working with a couple of struggling chapters. They may have trouble finding a sufficient number of people to participate in meetings or the officers may need relief from long terms of service.

As the newer chapters are forming, they turn to us for assistance regarding incorporating, drafting bylaws and general promotional ideas. When I ask the other chapters for ideas and samples, I receive a terrific response.
