San Mateo, Calif., Nov. 14, 2000 – Meteor, a real-time communications infrastructure company, launched today with a promise to alter the face of the real-time communications industry and to deliver new competitive solutions to service providers. As an infrastructure company, Meteor optimizes online business relationships by delivering tools for real-time communication, collaboration and business transactions that are fully integrated with a service provider's existing offering.

At its launch, Meteor announced its first two service offerings based on the Meteor Communications Platform: Meteor SP and Meteor CRM. Meteor SP (service provider) is a second-generation solution of fully integrated infrastructure and tools that Meteor provides to telcos, ISPs and ASPs. Meteor CRM provides the real-time communications infrastructure for companies to engage in live support, commerce and marketing over the Web. Meteor CRM allows companies to move beyond e-mail-based communications and increase customer satisfaction through 2-way live interactions such as Web-based sales presentations, real- time customer support and online training.
