March 26, 2012 – IT infrastructure outsourcing provider Latisys plans to add 72,000 square feet of data center space in the U.S. and introduces its self-service on-demand portal in response to the growing enterprise demand for Infrastructure as a Service.

Latisys will build one brand new data center, a 23,000-square-foot space in Denver expected to open by the end of 2012. In addition, it will build out three other existing facilities in Ashburn, Virginia (26,000 square feet of new space by fall 2012), Irvine, California (13,000 square feet of new space by the end of 2012) and Chicago (10,000 square feet of new space by the end of 2012). Counting these additions, Latisys will have 500,000 square feet of total data center space at its seven U.S. locations.
