Grand Rapids, Mich., May 24, 2000 – Knowledge Mechanics announced that it has acquired the NGL Studio technology platform from Sybase Inc. Knowledge Mechanics will rebrand the product as Knowledge Mechanics Studio and will work to rapidly increase its functionality through both internal development and strategic alliances. Knowledge Mechanics is a leader in the area of developing technology based courseware and knowledge transfer solutions. Sybase is a major international provider of integrated software and technology services.

Knowledge Mechanics Studio 3.0 is the result of our efforts and expands on the NGL base with the addition of a user-friendly interface, improved table structure and the incorporation of the Dreamweaver HTML editor from Macromedia."

Under the terms of the agreement Sybase will transfer the intellectual property rights relevant to the NGL Studio to Knowledge Mechanics. Further, Knowledge Mechanics and Sybase will work together to transition existing users of NGL Studio to Knowledge Mechanics Studio 3.0 and its support and maintenance services.
