Knightsbridge announced the creation of its Emerging Practices group and the appointment of Scott Sognefest as Emerging Practices Leader. The Emerging Practices group will serve as a channel for identifying, formalizing, and launching new vertical market practices, encouraging corporate growth.

The Emerging Practices group will initially concentrate on six key areas:

  • Telecommunications;
  • Manufacturing, including high-tech, automotive, durable goods and chemicals;
  • Energy, oil and gas;
  • Hospitality and leisure;
  • Transportation and logistics;
  • Media and entertainment.

Leading the Emerging Practices group is Scott Sognefest, a consulting and IT services veteran joining Knightsbridge from IBM Business Consulting Services, where he served as a founding member of PwC Consulting's Global Integrated Analytics practice. Sognefest's background includes a wide variety of business and technology consulting, sales, and implementation experience with an emphasis on analytics, information delivery strategies, data warehousing and CRM.
Emerging Practices will offer Knightsbridge's core technology planning, architecture and implementation services around data integration, information architecture and data warehousing. The Emerging Practices group joins five other practice areas at Knightsbridge: financial services, insurance, retail and consumer products, healthcare and pharmaceutical, and the federal government.
