Companies may give up some control when they outsource their customer relationship management program, but the operational costs can be cheaper, says a new report from The Yankee Group.

According to the report, the cost over five years of running a hosted CRM program with 200 users is $1.62 million. That compares with $2.89 million for an internally owned and operated CRM system.
