Intelligent Results, a leading provider of business analytics solutions, announced the appointment of Kelly Pennock as CEO. Kelly will spearhead Intelligent Results' aggressive plans for growth and expansion in the business analytics market.
"Our objective was to find and recruit a leader," said David Chen, Chairman of the Board at Intelligent Results and partner at OVP. "Kelly understands both the magnitude of the long term Intelligent Results opportunity in unstructured data, as well as our near term market development strategy of applying our core technology to deliver predictive solutions for the financial services industry." Kelly was previously the President and CTO of Intelligent Results bringing over a decade and a half of experience in executive management and technology vision to the company. In May of 2001 he co-founded the company with a team of six who saw an opportunity to build a company around their advanced analytics and unstructured data expertise. Prior to co-founding Intelligent Results, Kelly was with Amazon.com, a world leader in electronic commerce with more than 30 million customers worldwide. As program manager, he was responsible for the rollout of two of the online retailer's largest virtual stores and led several company-wide data mining initiatives to address issues of attrition, cross-sell and customer service. Prior to Amazon, Kelly was co-founder and Chief Science Officer at Cartia, Inc., a privately held text analytics company that developed software and services for multiple industries. While at Cartia, Kelly and his team commercialized customer analytics technology that led to Cartia's acquisition by Amazon.com in July of 1998.
