Intacct, a provider of cloud-based financial management and accounting software, has launched Intacct Services Resource Planning, a cloud-based enterprise resource planning (ERP) system for project and service-based businesses.

Intacct Services Resource Planning is a combination of’s customer relationship management (CRM) offering, Clarizen’s cloud-based project management and planning service, and Intacct’s financial management and project accounting solution.

Along with the new ERP offering, Intacct announced that it has expanded its sales, marketing and development agreement with Clarizen. Under the agreement, Intacct is now a master reseller of Clarizen solutions, allowing Intacct and its channel partners to resell Clarizen services worldwide.

The move is the latest example of how vendors are jockeying for position as the cloud market continues to evolve. Earlier this week SAP announced plans to acquire cloud-based software provider SuccessFactors.

With the integration of the cloud offerings from the three companies, financial details from services projects—including project related billable and non-billable time and reimbursable and non-reimbursable expenses—can be synchronized between Intacct, Clarizen and Salesforce for improved invoicing, reporting and financial management, according to Intacct.

“Project and service-based business make up a large and growing share of the global economy, and with so many remote and mobile employees they are a natural fit for cloud computing,” Daniel Druker, senior vice president of marketing and business development at Intacct, said in a statement.
