PerspecSys, a provider of cloud data protection services, announced an agreement to provide its Cloud Data Protection gateway, including the PRS server and Oracle CRM On Demand adapter, to Inland Empire Health Plan.

PerspecSys’ gateway lets companies take advantage of Oracle CRM, a software-as-a-service offering (SaaS), while ensuring that their sensitive data remains on-premise and under their full control at all times.

Inland Empire Health Plan (IEHP), a not-for-profit organization, provides managed health services to individuals and families. IEHP’s customer management and data security needs are critical. By using the PerspecSys software coupled with Oracle’s cloud-based CRM offering, it will be able to streamline application management, improve customer interactions and retain full control of protected health information, according to PerspecSys.

“We designed the PerspecSys Cloud Data Protection gateway specifically with organizations like IEHP in mind,” David Canellos, CEO of PerspecSys, said in a statement.

The PerspecSys service gives IEHP data privacy, residency and security capabilities when using Oracle CRM On Demand. Sensitive information is secured through the use of tokenization or encryption, ensuring the data remains undecipherable when it is processed or stored in the cloud. This lets IEHP protect sensitive data while its customers and employees benefit from use of the latest cloud applications, PerspecSys says.
