I'm in this for the bucks and I hear that there's a pile of money to be made in data warehouse. What do you suggest?
David Marco's answer: My advice is don't do anything just for the money. If you don't have a passion for data warehousing you will not be successful or happy, and happiness is certainly what is most important. If you want in this field "for the bucks" two things will occur. First, people will spot it and not want to do business with you. Secondly, you will make decisions out of monetary reasons as opposed to doing the right thing. Both of these factors will greatly hinder your success. Find a field that you really love, treat people as you would like to be treated and consistently deliver more than you promise. Do these things and you'll be much happier and financial success will follow.
