San Jose, Calif., Aug. 16, 1999 - IDG World Expo's LinuxWorld Conference & Expo concluded its second successful Linux-only event on Thursday, Aug. 12, 1999. With 168 exhibitors, the four-day event at the San Jose Convention Center in San Jose, California, attracted 14,278 attendees. After the success of the first LinuxWorld Conference & Expo held in March at the same venue, IDG World Expo had to double the show floor for last week's event, creating a 100,000 square-foot show floor - making this the fastest growing event in IT-tradeshow history.

"The rapid acceptance and success of LinuxWorld Conference & Expo has been unprecedented," said Charlie Greco, president and CEO of IDG world Expo. "This is not only the largest Linux-only event, but also the fastest growing IT tradeshow. "

The next LinuxWorld Conference & Expo will be held in New York City at the Jacob Javits Center from Feb. 1-4, 2000. For more information, visit
