September 10, 2008 - Idera, a leading provider of management and administration solutions for Microsoft Windows, announced the general availability of its Point admin toolset, 10 tools that simplify the management and administration of Microsoft SharePoint.

 

This release follows a six week public beta program with the SharePoint community worldwide. The Point admin toolset lessens the administrative overhead and knowledge needed to ensure the effective operation of SharePoint. The Point admin toolset is the only suite of tools that brings together SharePoint site monitoring, server monitoring, backup and security monitoring in a single, unified toolset.

 

Included in the new release of the toolset is a tool for SharePoint permissions analysis. The “Who Can Access What” tool allows SharePoint administrators to determine which users have access to which sites, libraries or data within SharePoint.
