The IBM acquisition of Informix’s database business is all but complete. The transaction still hasn’t officially closed and won’t until later on in the third quarter, but on June 8 Informix stockholders approved the $1 billion sale of assets to IBM.

In addition, on June 6, IBM and Informix announced they received early termination of the Scott-Rodino waiting period, which effectively means that the federal government won’t contest the deal.
