Chuck Kelley's Answer: That will cause quite a controversy! Data management has always been "how do deal with structured data," while knowledge management encompasses more that just structured data including document management. However, you could picture a pyramid where data is on the bottom, information is on the second tier and knowledge is the top tier. Then data management is managing of all the tiers and knowledge management is how to share the data across the enterprise.
