How can the knowledge management concept be implemented in DW design, and is it possible to have an electronic DW?
David Marco's Answer: I believe that knowledge management is implemented more at the meta data repository level than at the data warehouse level. A meta data repository stores all of the information about your company and your systems. The repository is then used to distribute this information across the corporation. This is the backbone of knowledge management.
Sid Adelman's Answer: You should consider knowledge management to capture and disseminate knowledge related to the data warehouse. This would include best practices for data base design, end user training, Web security procedures, requirements gathering and many more best practices you will generate internally. Learn from consultants and pull from books, articles, conference proceedings and Internet research.
