The industry is watching closely as Hewlett-Packard and Compaq seek closure on their announced $87 billion merger. But equally important is who the senior management will be for the combined organization. According to Hewlett-Packard, Carly Fiorina, the current HP chairman and chief executive officer, will retain both titles. Michael Capellas, chairman and chief executive officer of Compaq, will serve as president.
