Cupertino, Calif., May 9, 2000 RIAL Solutions Inc. (RSI) and HP Open Skies, the airline reservations division of Hewlett-Packard Company, announced a partnership to market RSI's data warehouse and CRM solutions to Open Skies customers. Airline executives can use this tool to gain a competitive advantage due to the clean, integrated, historical data organized specifically for decision making.
The online analytical processing (OLAP) solution "e-Q" for decision support is based on RSI's quadrant architecture that integrates multiple sources of data, including detail transactions from all Open Skies supported functions. It is built using the latest software from ORACLE, assuring the availability of a wide range of easy to use tools and the ability to customize quickly to meet changing business needs.
The data warehouse captures information from its sources "as it happens." This allows load balancing and error correction to be carried out on a continuous basis diminishing many of the issues that traditional data warehouses suffer from. Airlines can easily configure their own scenarios to support their specific Decision Support requirements. HP Open Skies will also use RSI's technology to enhance their responsiveness to customer query and reporting requirements that will be significantly improved to meet the ever- changing demands in a highly competitive business climate.
