Schaumburg, Ill., July 7, 1999 - The 11th Annual International DB2 Users Group (IDUG) North America conference was held May 16-20 at the Marriott Orlando World Center. Greenbrier & Russel's John Bradford and Chris Skelnik were ranked as speakers in the top 10 out of more than 130 for their presentations on DB2.

Bradford's presentation titled, "Java Meets the DB2 Family: You Can Get There From Here," covered the ways in which a Java programmer can connect to and utilize data from DB2 databases. Bradford is a four-time IDUG speaker and has worked with DB2 as a programmer, designer, database administrator, software installer and instructor. He is currently a senior database administrator. Skelnik's presentation, "Byte into DB2 and Watch Your Waste Size Shrink," provided an in-depth look at the physical management of the underlying DB2 data sets. Skelnik is a frequent speaker at international and regional DB2 user groups and has 15 years of experience in large system data base development. He is currently a senior database administrator.
