Wright will report to Paul D. Birch, president and chief executive officer of Geac.

Prior to joining Geac, Wright served more than three years as both chief technology officer and chief information officer at Terra Lycos, a major provider of Internet access and content to several million subscribers in 42 countries worldwide. At Terra Lycos, he was responsible for managing a technology organization of over seven hundred developers across all its international business lines. He has recently served as an advisor to the White House's Office of Homeland Security, as well as a member of the U.S. Secret Service Task Force on Electronic Crimes. He has been a member of IBM’s Advanced E-Business Council since 2001.

Wright will work closely with Geac's global senior management team to orchestrate the consolidated Geac product development road map and to introduce the technology framework needed to extend Geac's operational and financial software products to meet customer requirements for improved business performance management. He will also assist with the analysis and selection of strategic partners and acquisition targets, which are key elements of Geac's strategy.
