Geac launched out-of-the-box integration functionality that enables many Geac EnterpriseServer (E Series and M Series) customers to tie Geac Performance Management applications quickly and easily to their existing Geac back-office financial systems. The first Geac enterprise customer to avail itself of this convenient integration solution is a large Midwest hospital system in the United States. The organization, a Geac client for more than 10 years, is adding Geac Performance Management's reporting and consolidation applications to its Geac enterprise financial systems in order to streamline its reporting business process. The customer is focused on embracing the latest technologies while leveraging current investments in existing back office applications.
The introduction of this new integration capability will significantly streamline product implementations at Geac EnterpriseServer customer sites. "Providing an expedited performance management integration capability for users of Geac back-office financial software is a key to helping our enterprise customers extend the value of their existing Geac investment," said Tim Wright, Geac's chief technology officer and chief information officer. "The return on investment cycle is shortened considerably, because the installation and integration process is so streamlined. This offering enhances Geac's revenue potential by making Geac Performance Management efficient to implement for many of our enterprise customers."
Geac Performance Management is an integrated product line that enables companies to bolster their effectiveness by tightening the linkage between business strategy formulation and operational execution, and by improving monitoring, reporting and decision making. Geac's new integration solution will let Geac financial, human resources, and procurement applications feed data seamlessly into Geac Performance Management's planning, budgeting, and forecasting modules. A series of software routines loads and refreshes Geac Performance Management's single database as often as the customer deems beneficial, either automatically (on a set schedule) or upon request. The system extracts and organizes not just the company's data, but also the management and reporting hierarchical structures.
Geac Performance Management's open architecture also allows it to link to a multitude of general ledger, ERP, CRM, and other applications. More than 600 customers with non-Geac back-office systems rely on Geac Performance Management for strategy management, planning, budgeting, expense and travel management, forecasting, financial consolidation, and reporting and analysis.
