Gary Lynch helps companies manage risk for things that can be insured – and also things that can’t. “My job is never dull,” he says. “When I left Gartner [Research] for consulting, I missed the market, the vendors and suppliers, and fortunately this job kind of places me right back there.”

With an internal development role and a client-facing practice, Lynch focuses primarily on the insurance, risk financing and derivatives business, which, as a broker, Marsh cannot insure. “As part of a much bigger consulting practice we expanded our competencies so if we can’t help clients find vehicles in the capital markets, we can help them mitigate the risk.”
