October 4, 2011 – Service providers saw promise in 2010 as organizations outsourced more IT work than in 2009, but 2011 isn’t looking as good, according to Computer Economics.

The company conducted a study of organizations—banks and insurers included—that outsource IT work and found that the percentage of their total IT spending going to service providers rose from 6.1 percent in 2009 to 7.1 percent in 2010 and then leveled out, showing no year-over-year growth in 2011.
