Dear Readers,

Welcome to our special 10th anniversary issue. Everyone at DM Review would like to thank you for your steadfast support. We could not have reached this important milestone without you. In the past 10 years, the information technology industry has been very dynamic, making our lives more exciting, more interesting, challenging at times and anything but boring. As new solutions and technology be-came available and the industry evolved, we provided coverage that assisted you in understanding the developments so you could make informed decisions to benefit your organization and, as they say, exploit the advances.

In this issue, you'll find a great collection of nostalgic commentary on the evolution of data warehousing and information technology. I have provided a feature article that reflects on how the technology landscape has changed and reminds all of us of the progress we've witnessed in the information age. For seasoned veterans as well as IT neophytes, this recapitulation of the industry's progress as reflected in the pages of DM Review will be very entertaining and informative.

I would like to thank all of our columnists and contributors, especially Bill Inmon and Claudia Imhoff whose expertise continues to guide the editorial direction of DM Review. Not only are they experts in the industry, but they are also two of the most credible and hardworking individuals I have ever met. I also would like to thank the entire staff of DM Review who make this publication a reality each month. Although I cannot thank everyone individually, there are number that deserve mention. The first is Jean Schauer, our editor in chief, who is an industrious and diligent leader for this magazine. Another individual that deserves special recognition is David Koch, our associate publisher, who has been instrumental in the overall direction of DM Review and the marketing success that we have achieved. I would also like to thank four individuals who are no longer part of DM Review. Their efforts played major roles in making DM Review what it is today. They are Shawn Rogers, Mary Jo Nott, Steve Markiewicz and Tracy Powell.

As I said at the beginning of this letter, our 10th anniversary could not have been achieved without you our faithful readers! We appreciate your loyalty and look forward to at least 10 more years with all of you.
