FiberMedia said it launched a “managed cloud” service for capital markets firms.

The operator of New York and New Jersey data centers said the service can be used with Windows, Linux and Unix operating systems. Customers can transfer existing applications, without alteration. The infrastructure is backed up and follows SAS70 Type 2 guidelines.

“We realize that client needs differ substantially and one solution does not fit all. While our Managed Cloud supports self provisioning, FiberMedia offers a full range of managed services to ensure a seamless integration and a reliable production environment. That is the only way that real cost savings can be achieved over time”, stated Michael Bucheit, CEO of FiberMedia.

The Managed Cloud services is supplied two ways:

Compute and storage capacity on demand for applications running on the FiberMedia infrastructure.

Flexible, on-demand capacity at peak times

The company’s data centers are located in Manhattan, Brooklyn, Secaucus, Jersey City, Westchester and Cleveland.
