Expion, a social media management software company whose technology provides a way for companies to understand, manage and expand their brands’ social media presence, announced it has added Instagram and Foursquare to the lineup of social channels for which it provides social media management and moderation capabilities.
The addition of Instagram and Foursquare gives brands the ability to monitor and provide feedback on user-generated images, comments and responses, the company says.
Expion says it is part of an exclusive group of companies that have been granted access to the Instagram API allowing for third-party moderation on the photo-centric platform. Brands looking to maximize their impact and reach through Instagram photos now have a streamlined way to engage audiences and comment on photos.
With the Instagram integration, companies can comment on Instagram photos based on location and share these across their local Facebook, Google+ and Twitter accounts. Instagram photos are automatically surfaced based on a radius around individual locations. This allows brands to streamline their social media efforts and provides an effective means to find and share localized customer content, Expion says.
By adding Foursquare, Expion now offers its customers the ability to like tips and comments made to a brand's Foursquare pages, further enabling brands to be present where their audiences are interacting. This represents the first phase of Foursquare functionality via Expion. The company says it will continue to expand its offering by allowing publishing updates to local pages.
The Instagram and Foursquare integrations are available to Expion customers immediately for no additional fee. With the addition of these two social channels, Expion allows brands to manage and monitor their presence across seven of the most popular social platforms: Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Google+, LinkedIn, Instagram and Foursquare.
