Experian, a provider of global information services, announced the acquisition of Decisioning Solutions, a software-as-a-service provider, which Experian says will strengthen the global reach of its originations and customer acquisition software products.
The acquisition will become part of Experian’s Decision Analytics business, and will package Decisioning Solutions' multitenant, multilingual software with Experian's consumer and commercial data, analytical expertise, and identity proofing and authentication technologies—all from a SaaS model.
The new offering will enable small, medium and large organizations to make secure, on-demand, analytics-based customer decisions, Experian says.
"Our clients across a range of industries and geographies are facing an increasingly complex, new business environment,” Joy Griffiths, global managing director at Decision Analytics, said in a statement. “As a result, there is a desire to implement originations and customer acquisition strategies quickly and at low risk.”
The acquisition means Experian can build on the capabilities it has in this space to address these needs, Griffiths said. Decisioning Solutions “brings deep expertise in this age of cloud-based decisioning services,” she said.
The integrated offering will become Experian's global SaaS platform, allowing customers in the telecommunications, banking and consumer finance markets to acquire customers, automate processing and decisioning, manage customer accounts and reduced customer acquisition costs and risks, Experian says.
The platform also integrates with Experian’s PowerCurve Strategy Management and Optimization software, enabling organizations to quickly and easily develop and deliver the most relevant and profitable customer strategies.
