(Bloomberg) -- On his most recent annual retreat to Davos, John Chambers decided somewhere between cocktails and dinner that he was passionate about government-finance data.
The Cisco Systems Inc. executive chairman spent the evening in January learning all about OpenGov Inc. from co-founder Zac Bookman. The Silicon Valley startup aims to make financial data from governments more accessible and, in turn, more transparent.
