Boulder, Colo., July 12, 2000 Enterprise Management Associates (EMA), a high-tech industry analyst firm specializing in the management software and services space, announced the acquisition of the business intelligence consulting practice from Bolder Technology, Inc. (BTI).
The move will broaden EMA's expertise in covering the full enterprise management market space. The business intelligence practice will become one of EMA's core offerings and is headed by Richard Hackathorn, BTI's founder and president. The practice will serve the vendor and end-user communities with multiclient research studies, subscription reports and tailored consulting services.
In addition to the Business Intelligence consulting practice, EMA also licensed Web farming technology from BTI. This technology provides real-time insights into the volatile dynamics of market segments created by today's e- commerce environment, allowing companies to quickly track their marketing techniques and messages with the changes in their customer mix. The Web farming technology will be used for content generation internally to EMA and for new service offerings with EMA's clients.
