Enosys Software, an XML platform software provider, today introduced the Enosys XQuery-based suite of products. This XML-based platform will enable real- time information integration inside and outside company firewalls. The software addresses the need within large enterprises to provide an integrated view of the vast amounts of data that are distributed across multiple information sources in the form of relational databases, mainframe applications, legacy systems, documents or spreadsheets. Multiple departments or even trading partners often own this information. According to IDC, the typical Fortune 1000 company runs an average of 48 applications and 14 databases. Attempting to integrate disparate enterprise data into application- specific views costs businesses millions in development and maintenance costs, taking up approximately 70 percent of an enterprise’s IT budget.

The Enosys platform is an advanced enterprise information integration (EII) solution based on open Java standards and patent-pending XQuery technology. Enosys provides a universal layer for accessing enterprise data and eliminates the need to develop specific stovepipe solutions for each back-end enterprise data source and application. Developers simply build the queries that retrieve the information end users and applications need – independent of the source, location and access method of the data – and deliver the information as resusable XML results or Web services components.
